Understanding the Trauma of Pregnancy Loss
This self-study course will provide:
Basic understanding the prevalence of both pregnancy loss and the rates of PTSD after pregnancy loss
Be able to identify common physical and emotional trauma symptoms specific to pregnancy loss
Understanding of how this loss impacts all areas of life
Basic understanding of the framework with which to approach treatment with those who have experienced pregnancy loss
Basic understanding of potentially helpful approaches for various providers to use in their practice
Helpful language to use with those who have experienced pregnancy loss
A self-study continuing education course for therapists, medical providers, and others who engage with folks who experience pregnancy and pregnancy loss.

Continuing Education Credits
Three (3) Continuing Education Credits are currently approved by the State of Vermont for LCMHCs. These are likely to be approved by other counseling and/or social work licensing boards.
